Landscape in progress

This is a work in progress that I am just getting around to finishing. It was started in a class taught by Sharon Malec at the 2007 Badland Quilters Guild Retreat held in Dickinson, ND.

Latest Quilts

Here are two quilts I recently finished up. The one on the right was from a Debbie Bowles class on a pieced border technique. The quilt on the left started out as an art quilt group challenge


You begin with striped pieced background and then cut out circles and move them around. I took it a step further with free motion embroidery around each circle and used some of the built in embroidery stitches from my machine.

I also added bits of Angelina as well as beads to balance out the design and add a bit of shine.
